Quinquina is a traditional fortified wine based on high-quality mistelle, alcoholised grape juice and selected cinchona. It is very similar to vermouth in both its manufacturing process and its flavour. The Quinquina from L.N. Mattei is from Corsica and is named after a region in the north of the island, which is well-known for cultivating very high-quality grapes. It features a unique bittersweet flavour, which is created during the elaborate manufacturing process and is also due to the pure sweetness of the grape must. Enjoy it on the rocks, with tonic or in other long drinks.
