The Apple M1 chip takes the versatile desktop computer from Apple into another dimension. With up to 3x faster CPU performance. Up to 6x faster graphics. And with Apple's most advanced Neural Engine for up to 15x faster machine learning. Get ready to work, play, and create on the Mac mini® with speed and power beyond anything you ever imagined.

Mega power, mini size

The M1 chip packs astonishing speed and power into the Mac mini®. The 8‑core CPU delivers up to 3x faster processing performance than the previous generation* - all while keeping its iconic 19.7 centimetre square design. The 16‑core Neural Engine is the brains of the operation. Machine learning (ML) brings incredible speed and automation to tasks such as video analysis, voice recognition, image processing, and more. And the M1 chip brings a 16‑core Neural Engine and the full range of ML technologies, transforming the Mac mini® into an ML powerhouse.

*The tests were conducted by Apple in October 2020 using preproduction Mac mini® systems with the Apple M1 chip and standard Mac mini® systems with a 3.6 GHz quad‑core Intel® Core™ i3 processor, which were all configured with 16 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD. The preliminary version of Final Cut Pro 10.5 was tested using a 55 second clip with 4K Apple ProRes RAW media at a resolution of 4,096 x 2,160 and 59.94 images per second, recoded to Apple ProRes 422. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of the Mac mini®.
