This special Pinot Gris rightfully has a name that conjures up images of mussel beds - Muschelbank. After all, ancient mussel beds in loess soil give this wine its minerality and flavour. The Manz wine features aromas of white peach all the way up to apple, pear and quince - which are so typical for this varietal - and a play between fine minerality, young fruit and subtle, tart acidity. It is a remarkably delicate wine considering that the 2020 vintage was marked by heat waves. A dry fruity wine for enjoying with friends.

Family-owned winery with a long tradition

Manz has long ceased to be a well-kept secret among insiders and has now become an established name in Rhine-Hesse. The winery was in family hands as far back as 1725, and is now managed by the 8th and 9th generation. Whether you're looking for a fun, easy-drinking wine or a sublime vineyard-designated wine with depth, body and structure - you'll find it all here.
