The name is a cute play on words: "Limestone Rocks" can mean both "rocks of limestone" or "limestone is fantastic". That's because the Wittmanns from Rhine-Hesse are convinced that limestone soil is the best substrate for their Rieslings. This wine has aromas of yellow fruits and apples. On the palate, it has a clear, elegant structure and a juicy freshness; the mouthfeel is dry with well-incorporated acidity. The fine herbal notes perfectly harmonise with the delicate minerality of the limestone, all the way through to the long finish. An outstanding Riesling for every day.
