Adaptive Audio blends Active Noise Cancellation with Transparency mode, filtering out unwanted noise instantly while letting voices come through clearly when you need them to. ***The tests were conducted by Apple in July and August 2025 using AirPods Pro 3 prototypes with MagSafe charging case, connected to iPhone 17 Pro device prototypes; all running software prototypes. The playback list contained 358 audio tracks that were purchased from the iTunes Store (256 kbit/s AAC). The volume was set to 50%. Active Noise Cancellation was enabled. With 3D audio and head tracking enabled, playback lasted up to 7.5 hours. During the tests, the batteries in the AirPods Pro were fully drained by audio playback until the first AirPod Pro stopped playing. The battery runtime depends on device settings, the surroundings, usage and many other factors.
