This component was an important part of the engine cooling system and functioned as a door flap. A glass panel on the top complements the aircraft element and artfully presents your favourite items.

A milestone in Lufthansa history

The original aircraft material comes from the Lockheed L-1649 A Super Star, a historic aircraft from Lufthansa's early fleet that set new benchmarks for comfort, range and design in the 1950 s. Between 1958 and 1965, Lufthansa operated the Lockheed Super Star on the first non-stop flights across the North Atlantic. After reaching the end of their service life, the Super Stars were given a new purpose as part of the Lufthansa Upcycling Collection - and to date, they're now the oldest upcycled materials used in the collection. Created with exceptional attention to detail, this highly limited and technically sophisticated collection is made for true aviation fans.
