Our data protection policy is otherwise governed by the data protection manual which applies to the Lufthansa Group.

Our websites may contain links to other providers' websites which are not covered by this data protection declaration.

Collection and processing of personal data

MMG saves, processes and transmits personal data collected from its customers for the fulfilment of its own business objectives and for the purposes of the performance of contracts which have been entered into with MMG. MMG only saves personal data if you have disclosed this to us voluntarily. Data is collected, for example, as part of a transaction, following the completion of an online login form or in the course of a conversation with the service center, or as part of a survey or competition. We save the time at which you log-in to the customer profile as well as your activities in the customer account.

In addition to this, MMG analyses visits to their website in order to understand their customers' needs and, on the basis of this, to continually improve the online platform. For this purpose, we routinely save the IP address of a visitor's internet service-provider. The IP address is not linked to a specific person. As part of the web analysis, only anonymous, aggregated data is evaluated for statistical purposes.

MMG uses cookies to track visitor preferences in order to optimize the design of their websites.

Use and transmission of personal information and restrictions on use

MMG processes and uses your personal data solely for the fulfilment of their own business objectives and for the performance of contracts concluded with MMG as well as for service purposes within the www.worldshop.eu website and the WorldShop-Newsletter, i.e. to provide an offering tailored to your needs and/or to make repetitive inputs unnecessary or to limit these to no more than the extent necessary.

You have the opportunity to save personal data for some of our offerings. This data is only used in each case for processing the current offer and, without your consent, is not saved for purposes beyond the specified use. If you provide the appropriate consent during login to your customer account, MMG will use your information for the purposes of marketing research and in order to prepare personalised mailings (advertising) for delivery by post or by email, assuming you have provided the relevant email address.

You may at any time withdraw the consent given to MMG, permitting MMG to use your details for market research or advertising purposes, by using the relevant setting in your customer account. In this case, please write to the following address: Miles & More GmbH c/o Lufthansa WorldShop, Postfach 96 01 50, 12473 Berlin. Collecting and saving of data for marketing and optimization purposes by means of etracker GmbH (www.etracker.com) technologies may be revoked at any time with effect for the future. Newsletters sent by email always contain a link to enable you to unsubscribe and through which you can stop the newsletters being sent to you. Any use of data for which you have not provided the necessary consent will not occur.

We do not send your personal data to third parties. If our websites contain links to websites of other providers which you follow, then, in this case, you are navigating outside our website. External service providers may be involved in processing your data within the scope of permitted use. In accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), external service providers are only permitted, in particular, to process and store personal data of MMG customers in the context of our instructions, such as data collected as part of the performance of contracts.
