Since 1989, Telmo Rodriguez has been considered a pioneer of the modern Rioja region. He produces sophisticated "vinos con alma" (wines with soul) at Remelluri, his parents' winemaking estate. The 2016 Reserva is a superb classic Rioja made with predominantly Tempranillo grapes and matured in wooden barrels for 20 months. The fruit is accompanied by smooth tannins and lasts well into the elegant finish, along with notes of balsamic. A true masterpiece that reflects the excellence of the Remelluri winemaking estate.
