Cheers to the summer

Especially in summer, a small but delicious aperitif before your meal is just the thing. Light drinks with a relatively low alcohol content make a great aperitif, or apéro as it's called in Switzerland, for hot days. We've put together a few simple and deliciously refreshing ideas that add a summery twist to Heinemann's finest drinks. We hope you enjoy trying them out!

For example, mix a good rosé wine with a little homemade grapefruit lemonade made from freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, mineral water and some agave syrup. The flavours go together beautifully. Another tip is to sieve the pulp out of the juice beforehand to make the end result look even nicer in the glass. If you prefer white wine, you can serve a delicious wine and rhubarb spritzer by mixing the wine with a little rhubarb juice and mineral water. Top the refreshing sparkling summer aperitif with a raspberry and some mint.

Champagne cocktails are also making a big comeback, especially the classic that hardly anyone can resist: the Bellini. Simply add some peach puree to the glass, fill it up with champagne, stir gently, and that's it - the legendary sparkling cocktail is ready.
