This smoky, peaty whisky comes from the Franconian Odenwald region. 70 per cent of the single malts used are matured in bourbon casks and 30 per cent in Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. St. Kilian Peated has a rich golden glow in the glass. Vanilla and a hint of lime refine the fruity bouquet of apricot, pear and banana notes. Mild peat smoke, dry ash and cool mint tones flirt with the fruit aromas. This whisky is sweet and fruity on the palate, with a flavour defined by toffee and delicate peat smoke nuances. The long finish also includes ashy smoke and spicy oak notes.
