The Tomintoul Distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands. Here, the altitude, fresh mountain air and pure spring water create the best conditions for great whisky. The ancient spring water lakes, known as tarns, are often surrounded by peat. This also shapes the smoky, sweet and earthy character of the Tomintoul Tarn. On the nose, it presents an elegant peat note and smoky, woody tones. On the palate, rich peat smoke and ham smoke flavours combine with fruity sweetness and lush vanilla. Peat smoke and finely structured hints of fruity sweets and vanilla come together in the lasting finish.
