207,000 nautical miles in 38 years: that's the proud record of the U-16 submarine, which was commissioned in 1973. With the U16 Limited Edition automatic diving watch from Sinn, you can wear the high-strength, seawater-resistant steel of this submarine directly on your wrist. Not only does the U-16 submarine lend its name to this unique timepiece, which is limited to 1,000 pieces, it also provides the material for it.
Maritime history on your wrist
The deep blue-green tone of the high-gloss dial is reminiscent of the colours in the ocean depths and references the operational zone of the U-16 submarine, which operated at depths of up to 100 metres. Stylised air bubbles symbolise the act of surfacing through water. The dial also features the nautical miles travelled and the submarine's type designation. Fittingly, the silhouette of the Type 206 submarine is engraved on the case back.
