This full-bodied single malt matures in Spanish sherry casks, the contents of which are continually 'married' in the large Solera Vat 2, which is never fully emptied. This process allows the whisky to develop a complex, wonderfully soft flavour that is strong and smooth at the same time. In the glass, it has a dark golden walnut hue. The lively aroma is carried by the fullness of spices and oak notes with nuances of toast, leather and parchment. On the palate, Vat 2 is soft and smooth; the sweetness of the sherry and spiciness of the Spanish oak combine to create a fascinating, full-bodied flavour.
