Terms and conditions of use for Worldshop compensation vouchers
1. General
A Worldshop compensation voucher (hereinafter “compensation voucher”) is a benefit provided by Miles & More GmbH, Airport Frankfurt Lufthansa Base Gate 21, Airportring Building 322, 60546 Frankfurt, Germany (hereinafter “Miles & More”). A compensation voucher is provided for customer service reasons and but does involve the acknowledgement of a legal obligation. Persons who take advantage of this benefit (hereinafter “users”) have the option of redeeming the voucher value for purchases at worldshop.eu. These terms and conditions apply to the use of a compensation voucher.

2. Receiving a compensation voucher
Compensation vouchers are issued on board the aircraft of Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft (hereinafter “Lufthansa”) by Lufthansa crew in cases in which entitlement to compensation arises. A compensation voucher is made available in the form of a redemption code that is sent via email.

3. Conditions for redeeming compensation vouchers
Multiple vouchers can be redeemed for each individual order. A compensation voucher is valid from the time and date it was issued to the end of the year of issue and for an additional three years thereafter (e.g. date of issue 21.8.2024, valid until 31.12.2027). If the voucher value exceeds the purchase price of the order, the remaining value of the voucher can be used for further purchases within the period of validity of the compensation voucher. If the value of the compensation voucher is insufficient to cover the full amount of the order, the difference can be paid when redeeming the voucher, using one of the payment methods available. A compensation voucher can only be used for orders that are paid in euros. On use of a compensation voucher, the period of validity for the amount spent terminates. A compensation voucher cannot be used retrospectively to pay for orders already completed.

5. Refunds
If orders paid by means of a compensation voucher are returned within the statutory cancellation (cooling-off) period, the refund will be issued in the form of the payment method originally used. The redeemed compensation voucher becomes invalid and a new voucher for the corresponding refund amount will be issued. The new voucher is valid for 2 years. A compensation voucher is not refundable in cash.

7. Amendments to the terms and conditions of use
Miles & More is entitled to amend these terms and conditions of use with immediate effect for the future. Users will be informed about this. Miles & More only has this right if the amendment is reasonable for users, taking into account the interests of Miles & More.

8. Concluding provisions
These terms and conditions of use and all legal relationships between users, Lufthansa and/or Miles & More are subject to German law (excluded are the provisions of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and International Private Law), unless compliance with the laws of another country is mandatory.
